Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Mississippi invites applications for an Instructor of Mathematics. This is a 9-month non-tenure-track position beginning August 2024.


The successful applicant will be expected to teach four courses per semester in fall and spring, primarily developmental and co-requisite mathematics. The successful applicant will actively support student learning, follow the program curriculum and guidelines, and submit required attendance and grade reports.

Qualifications

A Master’s in Mathematics or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 hours graduate credit in Mathematics, earned no later than August 15, 2024 is required. Competitive candidates will have demonstrated teaching ability, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an energetic commitment to undergraduate education.
