Purpose The Information Technology Manager will oversee the Web Design and Development team for University Housing and Dining’s (UHD) Infosystem team. Primary duties will include coordinating user requests and implementing new customer-oriented solutions, while working closely with the Director of Information Technology to continuously work toward providing 5-star customer service to all constituents. Responsibilities Oversee the Web Design and Development initiatives for UHD. Includes administration and maintenance of comprehensive public facing websites and ensures continuity among directly related websites. Includes ensuring that all UHD websites adhere to the highest accessibility standards. Ensures that content is updated and relevant. Oversee and coordinate the implementation and administration of web-based applications and services. Examples include Confluence Atlassian, FoodPro, Matterport, etc. Manage and lead a team of full-time information technology (IT) professionals that specialize in web design and development. This will include the hiring of staff, evaluating the performance of staff, and other administrative/managerial duties as required. Develop staff to focus on customer-oriented solutions while remaining approachable and friendly. Maintain high standards of communication with staff and customers. Stay current with on-campus technology changes to include formal and informal training and participation with campus groups, focusing on technology. Participate in all relevant UHD and UHD Business Services meetings, events, classes, and training. Serve as a backup to the Director of IT. Coordinate and process IT administrative tasks, including but not limited to, processing ticket system requests, system access requests, point of contact for various systems, and documenting processes. Other tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications Experience overseeing one or more information technology functions. Experience leading or conducting supervisory training. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree in a related field. Five or more years managing IT Professionals. Demonstrated experience with Drupal. Current web design/development certification(s). Experience in Higher Education environments. Demonstrated ability to foster effective working relationships with customers, peers, employees, and senior management. Ability to work across organizational units to achieve goals. Experience supervising and managing technical staff who deliver mission-critical services. Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments. Salary Range $85,000 depending on qualifications.
