What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Operator position at The Viking Group?
Job Overview:
10 hour shifts, Sun-Wed, 8pm – 6:30am. Pay is entirely based on experience
In this role, you will assemble metal products, such as sprinkler frames of all types, partially or completely. Testing of assembled sprinkler frames, inspecting and packaging. Working in a cell environment on shop floor by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Fastens parts together with screws and adhesives.
- Removes small quantities of metal shavings with air or small brush to produce a proper seal between parts.
- Operates drill presses, small air toggle presses, hand semi-automatic assemblers, solder applicators or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
- Tests sprinklers according to approval laboratory guide lines.
- Inspects and packages sprinklers according to Viking quality standards.
- Disassembles sprinklers and its components for salvage of parts.
- Identifies scrap and salvage and records such for inventory purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
To be qualified for this role, you'll need to have graduated High School or have a GED. You can also have at least one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
