What are the responsibilities and job description for the Replenishment Analyst position at The Viking Group?
The Replenishment Analyst will be responsible for managing a group of specific supplier accounts based on product type. The key function is to support Viking's Organizational, Sales, and Operational objectives. This includes placing purchase orders, managing raw material inventory and safety stocks, and analyzing customer service metrics and supplier on-time delivery reports. This position will work with the product manager, warehouse location managers and the sales team to anticipate and respond to changing demand and sales trends as needed.
REPLENISHMENT ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages assigned suppliers and assigned portions of a multi-million-dollar inventory spend.
Responsible for purchases that facilitate achieving the goals of the Viking Fabrication and SupplyNet Sales and Operations.
Analysis of OTC & Fill Rate, managing action plans within assigned scope to achieve inventory goals.
Manages vendor performance by providing valuable feedback and establishing expectations for order fulfillment.
Provides analysis of deadstock and obsolete inventory & makes proper purchasing decisions.
Analyzes safety stock change requests from the location managers and manages to the proper safety stock levels for items forecasted by the sales team.
Reviews and evaluates demand vs inventory levels and recommends safety stock adjustments to management.
Provide feedback to product managers, along with Sales and Operations leaders within Viking SupplyNet and Viking Fabrication Services relative to steel costs, market pricing, vendor capacities, and general industry trends.
Assist with and facilitate the sale, logistics, and deliveries of long-term fabrication projects, with the help of product managers.
Monitor and maintain purchases based on product rebates by vendor / supplier.
Other duties determined as needed by the product(s) manager(s) or other leadership within Viking SupplyNet / Viking Fabrication Services.
REPLENISHMENT ANALYST REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of experience as replenishment analyst / buyer within a multi-million-dollar inventory network is a plus, although may consider entry-level college graduates.
Strong MS Excel skills - JDE experience a big plus
Strong communication and leadership skills
Must have the capability to analyze and provide feedback to set the inventory budget understanding inventory turns, stock-to-sales, and other commonly used inventory management metrics.
