Starting annual salary: $47,000
JOB SUMMARY:
The Performance and Quality Improvement Specialist will support QI efforts by maintaining the agency-wide Excel-based dashboard of program outcome and performance measures. The ideal candidate will have experience extracting data from multiple data bases, cleaning, manipulating, and populating, and/or facilitating automated updates, of dashboard metrics.
The candidate will also assist in the maintenance of the agencies databases and Electronic Health Record system by ensuring consistency and synchronization across each.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Executive Dashboard Management
Extract and compile statistical data from client databases to populate quarterly Executive Dashboard containing program outcome measurements and KPIs;
Enhance the efficiency, automation, and accuracy of the Executive Dashboard—the ideal candidate will bring new ideas and innovation to the process;
Extract and merge data from multiple sources and develop complex data base queries;
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets;
Effectively communicate information to technical and non-technical audiences using data visualization techniques
Database QA
Run reports to support quality assurance of database records;
Ensure consistency and synchronization across agency databases;
Troubleshoot and de-bug database errors or inconsistencies to identify problems with data capture and make recommendations to ensure integrity of data;
Required Experience:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with database systems with the ability to write queries and pull data from multiple databases;
EXPERIENCE
Proven experience maintaining and populating custom dashboards for the purpose of reporting quality improvement/outcomes measures;
Intermediate to advanced level experience with spreadsheets such as Excel is required including performing basic calculations, v-lookup, and creating pivot tables and charts;
Experience with health information technologies, particularly Qualifacts CareLogic, a plus;
Some familiarity with database quality checks—experience running reports or SQL statements a plus;
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy;
Highly organized and able to multi-task;
Excellent written and oral communication;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment;
Ability to work with minimal oversight and report out to management on progress and findings. They will possess excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
