ITG, a member company of the Vincit Group, is seeking a full-time Sourcing Analyst in Chattanooga, TN. The Vincit Group is a single source provider with a network of eight member companies that deliver maximum efficiency through the vertical integration of chemical services, contract sanitation management, as well as automation and engineering solutions. The Vincit Group Services provides IT, finance, marketing and human resources support to the member companies. We currently have over 6,700 associates among all member companies in the organization.
ITG provides technical process engineering services and specialized equipment manufacturing to multiple industries throughout the world. ITG services include industrial machine design and build, process automation and integration, intervention systems, HVAC and plant cooling and heating, and process atmospheric control. They specialize in automated equipment for the lead-acid battery industry, chemical allocation systems, as well as appliance manufacturers and distribution warehouses. JOB SUMMARY:
The Laborer performs numerous tasks which involve aspects of physical labor regarding the manufacture, demolition, and installation of specialized equipment and systems. Assist in the manufacture, installation, repair and maintenance of industrial machinery, and electrical /electronic equipment. Perform duties such as furnishing materials, tools and other supplies to workers and to the job site; cleaning work area, machines and tools as well as holding materials or tools for other workers.
SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, completes and supports the sourcing and procurement processes for basic commodities, and components. Assists with managing assigned projects and business unit collaboration. Assists with contract / PO administration and review. Processes ordering information under existing contracts (purchase orders, assignments, contract terms etc) and services procurement systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathers information, researches company sourcing needs, supports negotiation strategies, and supports Senior Sourcing Analysts
- Learns purchasing systems and ensures that buying procedures and systems are followed
- Inputs purchasing data to ensure automated purchasing procedures
- Creates and utilizes purchase orders and processes purchase requisitions via purchase order or change orders
- Solicits bids, data, and other information from supplier and inputs into supply chain (SC) systems
- Manages buyer functions on less complicated commodity categories
- Assists with opportunity assessment of major categories and cost of ownership opportunities.
- Tracks and documents changes from process related to automation or other efficiency drivers
- Maintains database information and updates internal sourcing information such as historical bids/quotes, commodity price monitoring, and supplier lists, etc.
- Ensures that all record keeping systems work properly
- Prepares ad hoc reporting, real-time generation of standard and customized reports
- Assists on complex special projects and other assignments as directed
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of standardized sourcing practices and procedures
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, organize, focus on, and completework
- Confidence to work independently with minimal supervision
- Desire to understand product specifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in a related field with one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, financial reports, and legal / shipping documents
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence in a clear, and concise manner
- Advanced negotiation skills and ability to gain concessions without damaging relationships
- Ability to effectively present information to various groups
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and ERP software
- Ability to work with financial systems
ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
