The Vomela Transportation Group has an exciting opportunity for a Prepress Operator to join our team. This position prepares customer art and copy layouts for all digital and screen print production to meet customer specifications, deadlines and other related job information.

Key Responsibilities
* Performs preflight on customer artwork to determine accuracy or any needed requirements.
* Communicates customer needs and requirements to Customer Service Reps or Sales.
* Assists in the planning process of incoming projects
* Takes the customer high-resolution raster or vector les and creates the digital le needed for digital output or screen press, in addition to performing actual film output and production meeting customer specifications while maintaining the integrity of the schedule
* Determines size, arrangement or needed image changes of the client artwork that may needed to avoid an image that would not be acceptable to the client.
* Alters illustrations to enlarge, reduce, or clarify image on original artwork to meet customer expectations by adding any added art speculations to meet Gillespie Graphics special production requirements.
* Possesses an understanding of color theory and the ability to switch from project to project quickly
Requirements
* Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Familiarity with Digital Graphics and Software related to Digital Graphics, or Prepress
* advanced specialized computer skills that require mastery of applicable software in such fields as graphic design, video production and technical writing. Operates computer and other peripheral electronic equipment to complete job assignments. Must be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite software, also a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Must be familiar with color measurement
* Must meet physical requirements
