Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Charcuterie Board Chef. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite charcuterie boards that showcase a variety of artisanal meats, cheeses, and accompaniments.
Responsibilities:
Culinary Creation:
Design and assemble charcuterie boards using a diverse selection of high-quality meats, including cured meats, pâtés, and terrines.
Select and source premium cheeses, incorporating a range of textures, flavors, and origins to create a well-balanced board.
Artfully arrange charcuterie and cheese selections, paying attention to color, shape, and presentation to create visually stunning displays.
Create complementary accompaniments such as pickles, preserves, nuts, fruits, and bread or crackers to enhance the flavor profiles of the boards.
Menu Development:
Collaborate with management to develop and refine charcuterie board offerings, taking into account seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and culinary trends.
Experiment with new recipes, ingredients, and presentation techniques to continuously innovate and elevate the charcuterie experience for guests.
Provide input on pricing strategies and portion sizes to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of food quality and freshness by regularly inspecting ingredients, rotating stock, and discarding any items that do not meet quality standards.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring that all food preparation areas and equipment are clean and sanitized according to health regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of charcuterie and cheese, placing orders as needed to replenish supplies and minimize waste.
Customer Interaction:
Engage with customers to understand their preferences and dietary restrictions, offering personalized recommendations and accommodating special requests.
Educate customers about the different types of charcuterie and cheese on the menu, providing information about flavor profiles, origins, and pairings.
Solicit feedback from guests to continuously improve the charcuterie board offerings and overall dining experience.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a chef or cook, with a focus on charcuterie and cheese preparation preferred.
Strong culinary skills and creativity, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
Knowledge of different types of charcuterie, cheeses, and accompaniments, as well as their flavor profiles and origins.
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
