Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Contract Recruiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in recruiting for disaster and emergency response positions. This role is critical in ensuring we have the right personnel to respond effectively to emergencies and disasters.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs for disaster and emergency response positions.
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
- Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking events.
- Screen and evaluate candidates to ensure they meet the required qualifications and experience.
- Conduct interviews and coordinate with hiring managers to facilitate the selection process.
- Manage the candidate pipeline and maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the recruitment process.
- Provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in disaster and emergency response or a related field.
- Strong understanding of disaster and emergency response roles and qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in emergency management, disaster recovery, or related fields.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to disaster and emergency response staffing.
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
