HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire a Qualitative UX Researcher to work collaboratively to contribute new ideas to products that impact the experiences of billions of people on a global scale.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator that is knowledgeable about research devoted to understanding people and curious about the relationship between technology and society. As a Qualitative UX Researcher, you will:
- Work closely with partners and stakeholders to identify research topics.
- Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods.
- Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes.
- Effectively manage/prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a large group of stakeholders.
- Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways.
- Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing.
- Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.

- Bachelor’s with 4 years of relevant industry experience or Master's degree in a relevant field with 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Relevant experience in user experience, applied research setting and/or product research and development
- Experience conducting in-depth interviews/focus groups and concept/usability testing
- Experience executing hands-on primary research
- Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with consumer products, consumer insights, or product development
- Degrees in a human behavior related field (e.g. Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Information science, Media studies, Computer Science, or Economics, and/or a degree in a design related field with relevant additional research experience)
- Familiarity with relevant UX research processes and tools (e.g. UserZoom, UserTesting, dScout, OptimalSort, etc.)
Commitment: This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be available to candidates local to the Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; Houston, TX and Denver, CO areas.
