Position Location: York, PA

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Scope: The Agency Account Manager is an essential member of the YGS Agency Team, working as the primary liaison and point of contact for YGS and assigned client accounts. Their goal is to create the best customer experience possible in relation to their brand or product. Primary responsibilities include budget oversight, reporting, client communication, and marketing in support of the sales effort. The Account Manager is involved in the development of overall account strategy as well as individual project management. The Account Manager is integral in building relationships and communicating with all internal and external stakeholders including clients, Design, Content, Media Sales, Technology Services, Print Operations, Accounting & Finance and YGS corporate sales.

  • Primary contact for the client and internal communications.
    • Act as liaison to address and or maintain customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure that projects details (timelines, deliverables, etc.) are communicated to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate manner
  • Build relationships and communication with clients as the account management lead.
  • Create meeting agendas, lead client meetings and supply meeting notes and manage action items related to the meeting notes.
  • Define and maintain Quality Standards per project and ensure the team is made aware to meet these needs per project.
  • When applicable, ensure that the technology team has the tools and resources to manage all client technology projects within the timeline given.
  • Report to Executive Management on all projects at regular intervals to inform management on issues and seek their counsel as required so that they can be proactive in defining areas of improvement.
  • Work with the Account Coordinator, BA team, Director of Development, and/or Senior Management to define project plan, internal milestones, and scheduling. Present plan to client.
  • Take point on proposals and estimates related to Storefront solutions
    • Work with the PMO and internal teams at YGS to develop pricing and requirements to meet the requested solution.
  • The cross-department collaboration includes design, content, digital, technology, print, and accounting services.
  • Keep project statuses current in the department’s project management system.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and operation standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and or Communications, or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar client-facing role is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding relationship building, customer service, analytical and organizational skills to prioritize the workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • An independent worker who also can collaborate well with co-workers from all departments when necessary.
  • Adaptable to change while being flexible and a quick learner.
  • Working knowledge of the latest strategies and trends as it pertains to marketing.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SalesForce, and the ability to use relational databases.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, Mac, and/or PC platforms.
  • Knowledge and use of CRM systems.
  • Analytical decision-making – uses appropriate information to assist in decisions that have a positive effect on assigned client projects.
  • Strategy-oriented – Continuously evaluates client needs and willingness to make any necessary adjustments to deliver day-to-day requirements to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Critical thinking – uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Intellectual ability – accurately and consistently follows instructions delivered in a verbal or written format.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Effective working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain a fast pace and work with a sense of urgency; must work well under pressure.
  • Solid track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills are a must.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding prioritization and time management skills.
  • Effective project management skills, ability to manage multiple, high profile, competing projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • This position is stationary approximately 90 percent of the time.
  • The individual in this position needs to move around inside the office areas to access files, operate office machinery, etc., regularly.
  • May carry weight, lift (to a height of 3–4 feet), transfer, position, or remove materials up to 20 pounds occasionally, and up to 10 pounds regularly.
  • Will use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, grasp, handle, push, pull, lift, lower, and position objects and/or materials as needed.
  • Will use feet and legs to climb stairs or ladders, balance, ascend and descend as needed to complete work assignments.
  • Must communicate, listen, hear, speak, converse with, and/or convey information as needed.
  • Regularly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer as needed.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with coworkers, customers, and business partners to complete work assignments. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must see, detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess information as needed.
  • Position works in office areas regularly. Temperatures are regulated through systems.
  • The environment is considered to contain low/medium noise levels.
  • The environment is not regularly exposed to extreme changes in temperatures or weather conditions.
  • Will attend meetings and YGS-related events as needed. Overtime as dictated by the needs of the business.
  • This position works in a climate-controlled office within a manufacturing environment regularly.
  • The office work environment is not regularly exposed to extreme changes in temperatures or weather conditions.
  • The office environment is considered to contain low/medium noise levels. The manufacturing environment is considered to contain medium/high noise levels.
  • This position requires travel to other YGS locations for purposes of completing assignments as needed.
  • Attendance of meetings and YGS-related events will be required, as needed.
  • Additional working hours may be required as dictated by the needs of the business.
