Seeking a 1st shift Brake Press Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate press brake machine.
- Close attention to detail.
- Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
- Bend and form the product using the sequence indicated.
- Check height, depth, and other tolerances using calipers, gauges, and a tape measure.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials.
- Perform both visual and dimensional inspections to quality standards.
- Must be able to read tape measure to 16th inch.
- Perform spot inspections of parts.
- Work from shop drawings to produce Quality conforming parts from stainless steel on a CNC Press Brake.
- Full Benefits available.
- Change the punch keys as orders state.
- Stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs and bend and stoop.
- Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
Qualifications:
- Exposure to fabrication, a plus
- Exposure working with steal and thick metals.
- Previous experience with Press Brake Operations.
- Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents.
- Dexterity and hand and eye coordination.
- Must be quality and detailed oriented as a Press Brake Operator.
- Teamwork – Works well with team members and other departments.
- Frequently required to perform repetitive or short cycles work.
- Lean – Utilizes lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of various tooling.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- The noise level in the work environment is generally loud, in which hearing protection is required.
