What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist position at Therapy West?
The position of our patient care coordinator is just that, taking care of our patients!
You are {usually} the first and last face the patient sees when they come in for physical therapy. It is your job to make them feel welcome, help them understand their insurance benefits, and our policies. When a patient comes in, it is important that you understand your vital role within Therapy West. You are an advocate for the patient when it comes to their insurance benefits. Correctly intaking the patients information and correctly identifying insurance benefits builds trust with TW and the patient, even before the patient is seen for physical therapy. In your office, you will also be working with another PCC, is it important that you communicate clearly and effectively, this reduces mistakes and frustrations.
Front Desk Responsibilities: These are tasks that are done everyday
- Sign-in sheets, patient daily calendar for providers
- Answer phones
- Keep correct patient logs (New Patients, CA/NS, referrals)
- Check-in patients
- Patient Intake
- Create New Patient folders
- Assist patients with questions or concerns
- Call patients as needed
- Scheduling patients for future appointments
- Patient Authorizations
- Communication - communication - communication
Back Desk Responsibilities: These are tasks that are done as needed throughout the week, some weeks these may be daily tasks.
- Insurance verification
- Plan of Care to Doctor offices
- Weekly Statistic report
- Cleaning front office area
- Other tasks as assigned

Pay: From $11.80 per hour

- Monday to Friday

Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
