Thermal Product Solutions is a leader in thermal processing products and test solutions. TPS designs and manufactures industrial and laboratory ovens and furnaces, and environmental temperature cycling and stability test chambers. Our product brands include Blue M, Gruenberg, Lindberg/MPH, Tenney, Lunaire, Wisconsin Oven, and Baker Furnace. We are hiring at our locations in PA, MI and WI.

Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of industrial organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
  • Coordinates activities of divisions or departments such as operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales, maintenance, or research and development, to effect operational efficiency and economy.
  • Directs and coordinates promotion of products manufactured or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
  • Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget.
  • Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
  • Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented.
  • Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations.
  • Promotes teamwork, cooperation, resolves conflicts and creates a supportive environment where employees can thrive.
  • Supports Lean Manufacturing, project initiatives and continually looks for ways to improve the overall operations improve efficiency, make work easier for employees and products more competitive.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job manages up to 10 direct reports. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent; or 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.


Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
