What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Thermal Supply Inc?
Responds to customer inquiries via the phone or in person at the branch sales counter regarding Thermal’s products or services. Assist customers by writing up orders, quotes, and providing additional information as required to make the sale. Determines best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to Thermal’s policies. Coordinates problem resolution with appropriate departments. Informs customers of standard procedures and or resolution of problem. Follows up, either verbally or in writing, to ensure customer satisfaction. Must be knowledgeable of Thermal’s policies, procedures, practices, products, and services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer branch phones
- Execute all aspects of the counter sales function including order entry
- Existing account management – call on occasion to check on customer satisfaction
- Serve as primary contact with accounts – develop excellent relationships
- Provide customers with product and delivery information
- Process purchase orders and requests for quotes
- Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
- Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications
- Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
- Educate customers about features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
- Keep current on competitive activity and pricing
- Supports and implements all Company promos with all customers
- Other tasks as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- High School diploma or GED required
- General knowledge of Refrigeration/HVAC wholesale experience
- Product knowledge and understanding of the Refrigeration and HVAC industries
- Comprehends Thermal’s Inside Sales, Warehouse, and delivery functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Shows good judgement and demonstrates calmness under pressure
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
