This position is accountable for planning and completing assigned purchasing related activities to procure raw materials & finished goods in a fast paced & team based environment. Resolves material requirements and maintains inventory at planned levels. Establishes standard methodology procurement process, bring together quotations, examine bids, and coordinates to make awards. Support the business to drive year-over-year efficiency & works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans and completes procurement of finished goods and raw materials from global contract manufacturers, OEMs and Suppliers.
- Implement and coordinates standard process inventory planning and replenishment of raw materials, components and finished goods
- Participates in all aspect of supply chain management as critical to maintain a reliable and cost focused source of supply for the business unit.
- Adept in establishing processes and using systems to efficiently plan & procure in a growth oriented environment.
- Proactively reports product and material availability issues & provides critical supply information to Customer Service & Operations teams.
- Maintains purchase order status and shipment tracking information in ERP system
- Establishes and maintains rapport with all levels of supplier personnel and internal customers and drives contract development in coordination with Procurement Manager.
- Handles requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding processes and supports the Procurement Manager as necessary to deliver year-over-year cost savings.
- Inventory Management: DOS reporting, inventory parameters, reduction percentage measurements, Product management; measure related KBM’s
- Purchasing Management: PR to PO execution, Vendor Compliance, Reduction of Cycle Process Time and Strengthening Vendor Relationships.
- Participates and provides information to monthly SIOP (Sales Inventory & Operations Planning) process
- Documents performance to action plans and timelines for assigned projects and completes special projects and assignments as requested

Ability to make informed decisions regarding specific product needs, prioritize needs, identify alternatives if necessary, taking into consideration the impact on the customer as well as the business.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with studies in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field
- 5 years materials planning and purchasing experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform job functions
- Knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts and application
- Strong analytical, planning and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and ERP experience a must.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and react quickly to changing priorities
Interaction with Other Employees
This position has daily one on one and group interaction with associates and various departments inside and outside the facility. This position requires communications with associates in other facilities domestic and international to address issues.
