Financial Analyst within Corporate Functions
Position: Financial Analyst III
Location: Waltham, MA
How you will make an impact!
This individual will work with their direct leadership to drive Thermo Fisher Scientific’s financial planning and analysis processes for Corporate HR Function. The ideal candidate must have a consistent track record as an experienced high potential talent demonstrating drive, ambition, financial and analytical acuity, and emotional intelligence.
This position will partner with Finance leadership and business partners by bringing strong capabilities in analysis, forecasting, trend identification, and insight generation to support impactful reporting along with effective process management.
What you will do!
- Provide financial planning and analysis support to Corporate HR around monthly/quarterly reporting and planning/forecasting.
- Assist with developing Annual Operating Plans (AOPs) and monthly forecasts; conduct variance analyses, and other ad hoc analyses.
- Execute key month-end close processes and post-close reporting for operating expenses including creation of journal entries, and headcount tracking.
- Deliver operational improvements to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Exhibit proficiency with ad hoc projects and analyses.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
- Systems experience preferred, including, but not limited to: Hyperion Planning
- Knowledge of PowerBI or Business Intelligence Tools useful
