How you will make an impact:
The Sr Director, Information Technology for Speciality Diagnostics Group Commercial & Data Management will partner with IT and business leaders to develop and implement the Commercial IT strategy, drive the prioritization of business technology projects, automate and drive efficiencies, provide IT Program/Project strategic direction and ensure implementation and maintenance of infrastructure and application systems for SDG's Commercial function. This role will define and implement a Data Management strategy across all areas of SDG, mainly commercial and Operations. Work closely with the IT partners in corporate shared services to ensure ongoing functional support. The candidate will be a key member of the IT leadership team. They will be responsible for representing the SDG Commercial function and all data management considerations for acquisition and integration activities.
The IT BP, serves as the chief strategic liaison between the business and IT for all technology needs. This is a key relationship management role; and will act as an advocate for the business.
What you will do:
Establish the long-term IT strategy for the Specialty Diagnostics Group and build a technology roadmap to align the systems, data, business processes and infrastructure
Act as a champion for global, cross-business projects in support of the Commercial and Data Management IT strategy
Establish and communicate annual plans, objectives and budgets and monitor their accomplishment.
Supervise and advise on the evaluation of near- and longer-term needs of the division functions, prioritize and identify resources for the team.
Establish and lead IT programs that enable business growth and efficiency
Represent the IT function and lead activities for acquisition and integration efforts
Direct staff in developing work plans for feasibility studies and systems development and implementation.
Review and approve proposed budgets and timelines. Select, develop and evaluate team members to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget according to the agreed upon scope.
Select, oversee and lead consultants, contractors and vendors as appropriate in accordance with internal policies.
Continually assess departmental policies, functional requirements, techniques and controls.
Implement process improvements as needed.
How you will get here:
Education
- Bachelors Degree with experience in a functional subject area of integrations, operations management, customer service, supply chain or finance
Experience
10-15 years as a strategic partner for IT.
Minimum of 8 years leadership experience with a proven track record of successful project implementations.
Experience working in a matrixed organization
Experience working with a business maximising IT shared services
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Experience in continuous improvement environment and delivering sustainable business results
Demonstrated ability to interact with and gain trust of senior leadership
Ability to quickly understand the business need and to translate this to meaningful IT solutions
Ability to maage ambiguity and the corresponding capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on potentially incomplete information

Travel about 20%
