Position Summary:
As part of Thermo Fisher’s finance organization, provide robust reporting solutions and financial analysis for the Credit and Collections team within the Customer Channels Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and accuracy
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Assess and prioritize business process for Automation opportunities that will increase efficiency, improve effectiveness and reduce operational risk
- Creates custom data models to meet business solutions, utilizing and leveraging system knowledge
- Responsible for providing data to support CCG US Credit and Collections team, including development of custom solutions to support ad hoc requests
- Lead or support process engineering and analysis efforts to craft new and improved business processes
- Support functional assessment to identify automation opportunities within business areas
- In partnership with IT and business specialists, conduct readiness of process with high level benefit analysis
- Lead Automation intake and coordinate prioritization to drive the most impactful opportunities
- Performs other duties and project support as assigned
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Exhibit leadership, initiative, and the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
- Proven ability to make logical assumptions, identify trends, incorporate external and internal information, draw conclusions from ambiguous data, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines.
- Proven ability to analyze and communicate variances to management is required to be successful in this position, as well as, the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required. The candidate will have the ability to obtain operational buy-in with easy to understand analysis and presentations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, has good judgment, and prioritizes projects and time effectively.

- Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint are required; skills with Data Warehouse, COGNOS, and Visual Basic are preferred.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant background
