What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Training Specialist position at Thermo Fisher?
The Digital Support Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing digital content, maintaining software and hardware upgrades (VR and AR), producing video trainings and digital content, and deliver digital immersive training. This person will also support business management and quality during regulatory and client audits and virtual tours.
How will you make an impact?
You will contribute as a member of the Greenville Training Team and will be the leader of the immersive digital program. You will also provide data security and compliance leadership to Steriles Operations leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with GMP requirements and company rules, policies and procedures.
- Support Global training initiatives to be implemented on site
- To support Quality Training Specialist in the development, implementation and management of training using the digital technologies and tools including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), HoloLens, Insta360 (Aviator) and Matterport.
- Work with cross functional teams across the different business areas to identify, plan and implement training using the technology.
- Collaborate with the company areas (production, technical services, quality, etc.) to identify the training contents to be transferred in digital mode according to the site project plan.
- Collect technical and content specifics/requirements, in collaboration with the departments involved, the training specialist team and other quality areas to ensure the compliance of the content to be developed.
- Identify the most suitable solution for each content, in terms of software, graphics, etc., that can maximize and improve the training recipient's experience and learning effectiveness.
- Develop digital content to ensure its effectiveness in line with graphic and/or compliance standards defined by the project.
- Create and maintain software/project documentation
- Test the developed content and refine the solution for the implementation phase
- Transfer training and information content to key personnel across the business
- Provide group and 1-2-1 training to staff
- Co-ordinate and conduct technical skill-building training sessions
- Assist and provide technical guidance to the business areas.
- Develop support material for the implementation and delivery of training including SOPs/ manuals, demo, job aids, visual, etc.
- Assist in the knowledge sharing and training of staff
- Collaborate on the implementation plan of the new digital content, observing project objectives and deadlines.
- Stay abreast of the latest technology updates relating to the digital tools used on site
- Identify new opportunities for existing training content to be implemented, maintaining a constant collaboration with training specialists and business areas.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
HS Diploma required
- Knowledge of digital immersive learning tools (VR, AR, matterport,insta360 camera, etc).
- Ability to work in a team environment, make decisions, solve problems, communicate inside & outside the organization, and analyze, plan, organize and prioritize work.
- Capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on area of need.
