How will you make an impact?
Under the direction of the engineering manager the position will provide training and leadership to a team of
drafters and document specialists. This position will collaborate with engineers in the deployment of this team in responding to daily design/documentation demand to meet response time and output goals. This will require interacting with customer, commercial, and operational representatives. Capabilities and expertise on, current Bioprocess Container products, product design, product components, manufacturing processes, applications, and industry requirements are essential as well as proficiency in AutoCAD, PDM, and understanding of business systems and tools in the creation of BOM's, routings, and all other manufacturing documentation.
What will you do?
- Train drafters on AutoCAD format, product platforms, and component information
- Coordinate the daily activities for drafting and documentation to meet team goals
- Support direct reports in performing the following: Create and submit a design response less than 24 hours after receiving the initial request.
- Steer new requests to already established components and processes
- Translate released drawings into Item Masters, BOM’s, Routings, and work instructions
- Collaborate with Program Management Office (PMO) team in design response
- Engage in 1:1 meetings with direct reports to keep abreast of needs and development
- Conduct goal setting and PMD reviews
- Approve timecards in e-time
- Approve PTO
- Coordinate with department engineers in approach to daily design/documentation queue
- Coordinate with Manager on development activities of prospective Engineers
- Provide Technical support to the team
- Research and select new components as required for custom designs
- Work with Validation and Process Engineering on component qualifications
- Drive process improvement through data driven activities

How will you get there?
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Drafting certifications
Experience:
- Requires a minimum of 2+ years of drafting design/documentation experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to handle complex process, business, and personnel issues independently
- Ability to direct personnel to accomplish daily work as well as periodic special projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and PDM
- Competent with Oracle
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Capable of working with department engineers and other department resources to address employee and process issues.
