The Regional Network Planner is pivotal to the design and execution of a workforce strategy that enables on time and quality delivery to our customers by ensuring we have the correct employee staffing levels with the right skills at the right time in each Regional Distribution Center, aligned for short- and mid-term strategic goals.

The position is responsible for modeling and translating short and long term demand requirements into workforce hiring needs across the Distribution Centers with region, in close partnership with the Distribution Operations organization, Finance and HR. It will directly contribute the productivity targets and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Key Responsibilities

Forecast and Modeling – take the SIOP, ERP volume data to plan and forecast the staffing requirements for Distribution over a short <6 months and longer-term horizon up to 18 months.

Using data, work with disparate data sets to integrate information, identify trends and opportunities that results in actionable opportunities for the company.

Align with regional leadership team in translating the AOP, distribution budget and targets to inform the tactical and operational rostering and scheduling of DC talent.

Profitability and Efficiency – ensure modeling, data and intelligent forecasting, meet DC Service and Productivity targets, adjusting the model as needed on a quarter by quarter basis.

Operational Compliance and Financial reporting - facilitate regular reporting, updates and alignment with DC Leadership, Operations stakeholders, including Finance and HR Partners.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job-related major field of study
  • Workforce planning experience: 5 years of experience workforce forecasting and management in a relevant industry, ideally Manufacturing, Operations or Distribution and Logistics. This includes forecasting and analytical tools
  • Strong quantitative and modeling skills: experience analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing complex data as it pertains to staffing supply and demand
  • Strong communication skills: ability to explain complex problems (e.g. modeling problems) in a simple way and educate the organization along the way
  • Experience working cross-functionally: this role will require you to work closely with the Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Distribution, Finance and HR teams
  • Attention to detail: the robustness of the forecasting and modeling process is critical to ensure we deliver to our customers on time and with excellence. To be successful in this role you will need a meticulous attention to detail
  • Work under pressure: agile, able to effectively manage competing priorities, work to tight deadlines, yet still take a customer and employee centric in approach
  • Interpersonal and relationship skills to work across cultures and geographies, communicating and influencing stakeholders to build trust and seek buy in
  • Travel – may be required up to 25%.
