Role
The Junior OEM Sales Representative’s primary duty will be to maintain and grow relationships with customers, while achieving an assigned sales and profit growth goal. They will retain existing business while pursuing profitable growth opportunities in assigned customer accounts.
Job Responsibilities
- Shadow experienced sales representatives to learn effective sales strategies and customer relationship management.
- Maintain customer notes in the CRS database.
- Assist in the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market trends.
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks, including data entry and maintaining customer records.
- Initiate contact with potential clients through cold calling, email outreach, and networking events.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about our products and services.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings between potential clients and sales representatives.
- Naturally takes a cooperative role on the team.
- Seek opportunities to become a skilled user of all tools.
- Assist in aspects of the 360-degree sales process.
- Retains and grows volume, sales, and profitability through proactive management of assigned customer relationships.
- Develops customer account plans for all assigned customers using the tools provided.
- Proactively owns customer’s satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service issues, proactively communicating with customer/Inside Sales/other departments and managing resolution.
- Compare monthly sales results to goals and take corrective action where necessary.
- Recommend pricing and marketing programs to remain competitive.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to identify customer requirements for translating them into product specifications.
- Interface with QA regarding any observed or reported quality/safety issues.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned, i.e., special projects, programs, and developmental activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of experience with the RV Industry
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have a professional demeanor and be able to exercise discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential information while interacting with all customers, internal and external to the organization.
- Self-driven, service-oriented, diligent, adaptable, resourceful, and a well-organized team player.
- Highly result-driven, great analytical skills, accountability, and, most importantly, integrity.
- A healthy sense of humor.
