We are actively seeking a highly qualified Senior Network Engineer to join our Team.
This position will be with Absolute Performance, Inc.
This position can be located in Denver, Kansas City, Tampa, Detroit, Portland, San Antonio, other locations will be considered as well.
As Senior network Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure team within the organization interacting with internal engineers and also interfacing directly with our customers.
This position will be responsible for a variety of network implementations as you manage, implement and design both our internal network and networks on customer premises.
This requires this position to have a wide variety of technical skills and work with various vendor implementations.
Provide input around defining and and delivering overall network strategy and transformation aligned with key business initiatives.
proactively check network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Provide technical support as needed to maintain network operation objectives.
Assist departments across the organization in understanding and implementing network solutions in ways that are cost effective and align with business goals.
Work closely with other network engineers and cross functional teams to review, execute technical designs and provide technical direction.
Evaluate, define, and develop new and existing reference standards and their adoption, to successfully on-board services with speed, quality and efficiency.
Participate in an on-call (24x7) support rotation with other members of the IT organization.
Develop written procedures, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation.
Work in a dynamic environment supporting routers, switches, cloud infrastructure, wireless and other network domains, across multiple vendor products.
BS degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise-level networks.
Excellent firewall troubleshooting skills, including Site to Site VPN's, SSLVPN's DMVPN's, firewall rule policies.
Strong hands-on experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
Hands-on experience in EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS, and other routing protocols.
Experience in firewall vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet/Fortigate, Cisco ASA/Firepower.
Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills, experience working with tcpdump output.
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Project management skills displayed through successful implementations, completing assignments, meeting timelines, and keeping within budget.
Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects.
Plus, but not required: Direct experience deploying Fortinet Fortigates and/or Fortigate SD-WAN solutions.
Plus, but not required: Experience with NAC implementation such as Cisco ISE, Aruba/HP ClearPass, etc.
Plus. but not required: CCNP-level certification equivalent (from any vendor) in either enterprise routing, security, or wireless.
