CCAP Case Manager

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:

This position provides direct client/customer service via case management to families and providers who participate in the child care assistance program in Ramsey county.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine client eligibility
• Approve service authorizations
• Review and approve adjustments or corrections of payments
• Interpret policy and resolve problems within guidelines for parents and providers
• Coordinate with manager and team to meet all contractual and agency specific data maintenance, timelines and deadlines
• Create and maintain accurate files and case notes
• Store and purge according to guidelines
• Provide information, resources and referrals as necessary to clients

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology or related field OR
• Associate’s Degree Human Services, Psychology, and CCAP administration experience
• 2 years’ experience in direct service with public assistance clients
• 1 year experience with child care assistance programs and policies preferred
• Fluency in English and Spanish, Hmong or Somali a plus
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Demonstrated experience working independently and in a team environment
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs (O365, Word, Excel and Teams)
• Working knowledge of MEC2 or other public assistance computer systems a plus

Think Small offers a minimum of $37,000 per year for this position and a unique benefit package which includes:

Think Small buildings (located at 10 Yorkton Court, St Paul, MN 55117 and 3433 Broadway St NE Ste# 460 Minneapolis, MN 55413) is closed and the majority of our staff are working remotely. Based on department needs, some positions work a hybrid schedule.
