Line Cook
THIRA Health - Bellevue, WA
Shift: 8:00am - 6:30pm, Saturday through Tuesday
Prepare and cook meals for patients in behavioral health facility. Will also be responsible for any necessary prep work.
Job Duties
- Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with recipes
- Follow portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines
- Prepare all recipes, portion controls and presentation as directed in a timely manner
- Edit recipes for production size as needed.
- Restock all items as needed throughout the shift
- Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of prep kitchen, walk in coolers and storage areas
- Empty all garbage cans and transport other trash and waste to disposal area at the end of shift
- Help stock food items and deliveries
- Assist in food prep as needed
- Serve as backup to dishwashing staff as needed
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) years experience as a line cook, prep cook, or related required; experience in a commercial kitchen, healthcare facility, or cafeteria preferred
- Basic knife skills, and ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Follow guidelines concerning patient services, food, and physical safety, maintenance, and equipment/space cleaning requirements at all times
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check (Federal & State)
