Your Impact
As a baker, you will be responsible for the production of various baked goods, ensuring they are of high quality, consistently delicious, and meet the standards set by the bakery.
Your primary duties will include preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked items according to recipes.
Job Specific Duties
- Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, and proofing cabinets.
- Maintain inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, notifying management when supplies need to be replenished
- Monitor baking process to ensure proper temperature, timing, and texture.
- Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to coordinate baking schedules and production requirements.
- Shape, mold, and knead dough into appropriate forms for baking, including loaves, rolls, or individual pastries.
- Decorate and finish baked goods with glazes, icing, toppings, or fillings as required.
- Maintain inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients, cleanliness of workstations, and safe handling of equipment.
- Must know culinary math
- Must be punctual, focused and time management is important
What you will need
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef in a professional kitchen or bakery.
- Flexibility to work around catering
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with other team members and interact with customers.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to changes as needed.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
- Independence in the Kitchen and time management
- Have the ability to stay calm in busy, fast-paced environment
- ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
- Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
- Ability to provide documents for work authorization. We utilize E-Verify, an online system that allows us to confirm the eligibility of our employees to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma / GED
