What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Financial Analyst position at Thomasville Restoration?
Thomasville Restoration’s vision is to be the #1 Restoration company in the Mid-Atlantic Region. To help achieve this goal and support our growth, we are building a world-class Finance Team in need of another Financial Analyst that will work closely with the Financial Analyst and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”).
This position will be an integral partner to Thomasville’s success, supporting the financial operations and assisting with reporting on performance across the business. It will include hands-on experience in all finance functions while owning payroll and benefits procedures. This position will work closely with managers across the organization and is intended to build the foundation of a future leader.
Specific Responsibilities:
Reporting & Financial Analysis
- Continually enhance financial and KPI reporting to support business decisions of leadership team.
- Create recurring and ad hoc reports to analyze business metrics and distribute to stakeholders. These reports include, but are not limited to, collections, cash flow, job profitability, open job details, and payroll trends.
- Support continuous financial planning & analysis of business including development of annual budget.
Accounting
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies or adjusting entries.
- Review reclassification requests and prepare adjusting entries.
- Manage banking processes including check deposits, bank reconciliation, and internal transfers.
- Create accurate itemized statements, bills, invoices, and any other necessary documents within Thomasville’s accounting software.
Payroll & Benefits
- Responsible for all payroll and benefits management including oversight of documentation, renewals, and vendor communication.
- Enter weekly payroll activities in payroll administrator portal and accounting system. This can include tracking deductions, reimbursements, taxes, and retirement contributions.
- Ensure onboarding is complete and payroll policies are communicated to all new teammates.
- Evaluate and renew annual benefits enrollment by coordinating with leadership and third-party vendors.
- Prepare payroll trend report to summarize total weekly pay by employee to understand costs and project personnel spending in annual budgets.
Finance Operations
- Maintain sound accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Oversee the company’s accounting and job management systems.
- Process Improvement: develop & lead ongoing process improvement initiatives to improve visibility, accuracy, efficiency, automation, and reporting/analytics.
- Perform other tasks and duties as necessary to support the Finance Department.
