Job Summary
The Occupational Therapy Assistant, under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist will provide therapeutic procedures (both group and individual) to develop, improve, recover, or maintain self-care and home management skills, motor functions, reasoning abilities, and/ or provide compensatory strategies and caregiver education for permanent loss of function.
Skills and Knowledge
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with older adults, personnel, and support organizations
- Ability to design and implement appropriate and meaningful programming

Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Therapy program, current certification in the state of Michigan as a Occupational Therapy Assistant
1 -2 years of related experience
