Position Overview
Field Management position that provides on-site coordination and leadership for all phases of the construction project. Includes management and development of field staff that may include Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and hourly trade employees. Position may also be required to assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to achieve established corporate goals and support the corporate mission.
Responsibilities
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
Confer with Project Manager, Owners and Contractors to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems. Daily communication is expected.
Plan, organize, and direct all on-site activities concerned with the construction.
Inspect and review project to monitor compliance with building codes, safety codes and other regulations.
Oversee Subcontractors who are under contract to complete specific scopes of work on the project.
Investigate damage, accidents or delays on construction sites to ensure that proper procedures are being met.
Verify material deliveries and comply with procurement requirements.
Review and approve project pay applications and invoices.
Complete written daily log of work activities on the job site.
Have weekly contact with each subcontractor’s foreman and review and agree to work activities required to be completed during following week and manpower to be provided.
Ensure job site remains clean and free of construction debris to ensure safe and efficient work environment.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being installed.
Understand cost accounting and keep field team aware of project cost projections.
Responsible for project completion and punch process.
Provide necessary training and direction to assist staff to achieve position advancement.
Requirements
Position prefers a four-year college degree in a construction related field and/or adequate experience to demonstrate mastery of position requirements.Advanced understanding of construction means and methods including scheduling, cost accounting, quality control, inspections and job site safety.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Ability to demonstrate strong competency in leadership, teamwork, communications, problem solving and initiative.
Must exhibit professionalism and organizational expertise to blend subcontractors, and materials suppliers into an effective and efficient work force that results in a safe, on schedule and quality project.
Must be an Organizational Leader who will stand behind the organization’s decisions and work toward their realization.
Organizational Relationships
- Position will report to the Vice President of Construction. This position will be responsible for a field staff consisting of Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and coordination with Office Staff, Project Support Staff, Pre-construction, Quality Control, Material Procurement, Safety and Risk Manager and Warranty Departments. The total number of staff to be dependent upon size and complexity of the project.
Location: Denver, CO area
We have openings for Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Project Managers, and Project Engineers in other locations nationwide.

Performing this job will sometimes require the employee to walk work sites that do not have infrastructure, this includes walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires the use of hands to finer, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Annual Salary Range*: $125,000-$165,000/per year
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.

The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
