SUMMARY
This individual will be working with our design and test engineers to on characterize H-Track fixed external gear pumps. This is perfect for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering major looking to get experience in a manufacturing setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The work consists of 50% hands on testing and 50% data analysis.
- Test all variants of master pumps to establish a baseline for all performance criteria.
- Test all variants of LMC test pumps to establish limits for all performance data
- Statistical analysis-collect performance data from production units tested on the production line.
- Test new design features that may improve pump performance.
Job Requirements:
Expected Outcomes
- Establish CV values for all pump variants.
- Updated analytical tool to accurately predict internal leakage of all pump variants.
- Create a design guide for future developments.
- Create a cause and effect diagram for operations.
- Create a list of enhancements for VAVE consideration.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Attaining a Bachelor’s Degree with a major of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Prefer a student going into or just finishing 3rd year of degree
- Prefer a student with fluid dynamics experience or education
