Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Lead

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to assist in our production of innovative solutions for the healthcare industry.  You will be working alongside some of the best software developers and product managers in healthcare technology.  By working for a rapidly growing company, your hard work and creativity will bring an immediate and significant impact for our organization and the healthcare providers who utilize our platform. Your primary responsibility will be to work with ThoroughCare staff and key stakeholders to heighten the testing maturity model around the ThoroughCare products and solutions. This role will lead the testing efforts of ThoroughCare Solutions thus supporting the mission, vision strategies, objectives, and goals of business in driving world-class solutions to meet the needs of a clinically focused user community.

General Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy - While working with agile teams, develop and manage test strategies that will include approaches for creating test data, develop regression and integration testing procedures, as well as  enhance our  automation methodologies to ensure higher quality delivery and test coverage
  • Testing Management - Responsible for management and coordination of all testing activities on assigned projects including definition of testing approach, test effort estimation, progress and status reporting, training and education on D&B QA processes and tools
  • Testing Processes: Drive and contribute to the Manual and Automation test strategy, scripts, and framework focusing on test architecture, re-usability, stability, performance, scalability, and related Quality/team metrics
  • Test Methodologies– Ensure effective and efficient application of test processes and tools using techniques such as White box, Grey Box, Black box, Test-to-Pass, Test-to-Fail and automation
  • Knowledge Transfer and Training - Creating and Promoting QA standards and best practices across Agile teams
  • Continuous Improvement -  Work with Scrum teams to complete root cause analysis and corrective action plans to ensure higher quality test coverage throughout the development and UAT development life cycles
  • Advise Senior Leadership on status, risks and their resolutions as they relate to testing and quality assurance
  • Create test coverage documentation, test execution plans, and metrics reports
  • Provide hands-on test support when necessary to verify front-end and back-end changes, user workflows, database, API, security, performance, mobile device, browsers
  • Perform other duties as requested and assigned

Skills/Qualifications

  • 3 years of QA management experience leading or mentoring a small team
  • 3-5 years of experience within the Quality Assurance specialty
  • Experience of database testing including designing and manipulating test data using SQL server.
  • Experience in writing reusable regression test cases for APIs and building, and maintaining a test case library
  • Software Development background strongly preferred
  • Must have worked on applications or web technologies for fast paced delivery of content, preferably in the Healthcare IT space
  • Competent Leadership skills and displays professionalism in presentation skills, negotiation and resolving conflict 
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused when challenged; handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Ability to flourish under pressure and get the job done with attention to detail and within deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a service-oriented attitude in a team environment.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required.  BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have excellent knowledge in Jira/GitHub or other development agile tracking tools, Google, Microsoft products, Zoom web meetings or equivalent software products
  • Knowledge and experience with automated testing tools preferred 
  • Testing licensure or certification (a plus).
