Threat Tec, LLC, a Veteran-Owned Small Business, has an immediate opening for a Security Specialist to support our client at Ft. Leavenworth, KS.
The TRADOC Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G-2), facilitates and acts as the principal enabler for continuous learning across all TRADOC lines of effort through acquiring, analyzing, creating, organizing, applying, and transferring data, information, and knowledge in the context of current and future operations. The G-2 is responsible for delivering the Operating Environment to facilitate the training of deploying units on joint, national, and interagency information, emerging asymmetric capabilities gleaned from world-wide operations; integrating processes, practices, concepts and materiel capabilities into Joint and Service DOTMLPF solutions; and coordinating with the training centers to provide realistic enemy and environmental signatures into models and simulations in support of realistic training.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with developing, evaluating, maintaining, and/or operating systems, policies, devices, procedures and methods used for safeguarding classified information, property, and materials.
- Supports implementation of the Information Security program to include control and accountability of all classified material, performing and ensuring the proper destruction of classified material, preparing classified documentation for transmittal, changing safe combinations annually (or if compromised) and supporting a 100% inventory of all accountable classified material .
- Provides security guidance, and performs security reviews and analyzes messages, letters and other documentation to ensure appropriate classification and security markings.
- Supports inquiry into possible compromise of classified and sensitive information.
- Conducts security training for personnel as required.
- Assists in development of and recommends policies and procedures for security access program systems and managing the Personnel Security Program.
- Prepares courier orders, verifies individual security clearance information through CCF, maintains hard copy and automated Security Clearance Access Rosters to ensure rapid location, identification and retrieval of an individual's security clearance information.
- Supports Security Manager with executing security briefings, reports, and other requirements.
- Researches documents and makes recommendations to update and streamline security processes and procedures.

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Active SECRET security clearance required.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years experience in intelligence or DOD security.
- Knowledgeable DOD and DA Security Policies and Procedures.
- Completion of DOD or equivalent security manager course is desired.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) required
- The security specialist is required to work on-site at the TRADOC G2 Security office on Fort Leavenworth, KS. A hybrid work schedule is authorized at the program manager’s discretion.
