Description
The Bonfire Host is responsible for greeting, seating and assisting in catering to the needs of guests in an efficient, courteous and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets guests politely and courteously as they enter the restaurant.
- Remains knowledgeable of current menus and specials for all Food & Beverage outlets.
- Maintains the reservation book, paying close attention to table turnover times and accurate seating schedules.
- Answers the phone, keeping an accurate transfer list of department phone extensions.
- Assists Food Servers in guest service as needed.
- Remains knowledgeable on property wide promotions and events, providing information to guests or sending them to the correct department for information.
- Completes side duties as assigned, ensuring all areas are prepped and ready for the next shift.
- Closely follows the F&B department health and personal hygiene policy.
- Other duties as directed by management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
- Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
- Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card/OLCC License within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
- Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
- Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
Salary : $24,600 - $31,200
