Plant Engineer
We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Engineer to join our team in Coshocton, Ohio.
About the role:
The Plant Engineer is responsible for overseeing the plant’s process design, facilitating in meeting company objectives, and advising management of opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee process design, equipment sizing and specification
- Assist in the troubleshooting of existing processes and equipment as needed to meet production goals
- Maintain documentation; including but not limited to Process Safety Information, P&ID’s, PFD’s, heat and energy balances, management of change, and operating procedures
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Prepare plant, personnel and documentation for periodic customer, compliance and investor audits
- Keeps management informed with reports on projects, goals and KPIs
- Conduct the necessary studies and cost analyses to promote the most efficient use of physical and personnel resources.
- Construct scope of work, budgets and schedule for plant projects
- Manage vendors, engineering firms and contractors to successful project completion
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, specifically chemical engineering preferred, and/or ten to twenty years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Fluent in oral and written English.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word software; Microsoft Excel software and Microsoft Outlook.
