Pharmacy Services Specialist

Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking out a Pharmacy Services Specialist to identify, promote, develop, and implement Thrifty White Specialty Pharmacy initiatives that grow sales, profitability, and patient access. Ideal candidate would live in Minneapolis / St. Paul Metro area - but this is negotiable. The assigned geography includes the metro and outstate Minnesota, with a strong influence in markets where Thrifty White has a retail presence.
Individuals in this position will focus on sales and development by building and maintaining strong relationships within the organization and developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, which may include provider offices, industry partners, employer groups, advocacy organizations, community groups and others who can benefit from our services. Provide regular analysis and insight that drives the success of Thrifty White Specialty Pharmacy services and provides the highest level of relationship management to both internal and external teams.
A few of the primary responsibilities include:
- Promote Thrifty White Specialty Services by building relationships with Health Care Providers that includes, but is not limited to, specialists, nurses, case managers, and other medical personnel from provider offices to increase new customer growth;
- Grow sales and patient count for the organization;
- Develop and implement business plans to achieve organizational objectives to grow sales and profitability;
- Support development and implementation of programs to address new business growth opportunities;
- Monitor specialty sales reports, and other key performance indicators, to adjust strategy and tactics as needed to achieve and grow profitability;
- Establish and maintain Thrifty White Pharmacy as the preferred Pharmacy Provider (Specialty, Specialty at Retail, and Retail) for all patients, providers, and others needing specialty and pharmacy services;
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop and maintain strategy, content, and direction;
- Effectively network and leverage relationships with Industry and Pharmaceutical partners to drive results;
- Creatively develop sales and marketing tactics for locally based groups and associations.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or other related fields; or equivalent related pharmacy experience;
- Experience that includes Pharmaceutical, Specialty Pharmacy, Managed Care, Biologics/Biotech, and/or Hospital sales or sales management;
- Related experience in one or more of the following disease states is preferred: Auto-immune, GI, Oncology, or Mental Health.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Represent the organization professionally at all times through service provided to all clients;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with a vision and desire to achieve the organization's measurable goals;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking proficiency;
- Proficient use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Knowledge and experience with SalesForce or related CRM;
- Ability to drive and travel a minimum of 3-4 days per week with occasional overnight travel;
- Job will require occasional evening and weekend event attendance.
