RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and supports development of processes, checklists and training materials for the residential team, with a particular focus on Residential Mentors
- Maintains/updates processes, procedures and associated materials
- Creates and implements training schedules for new hires
- Trains new Residential Mentors and some other members of the residential team (e.g. security)
- Monitors and tracks ongoing training, education and progress of all residential mentors
- Identifies individual and team skills gaps and supports plans to cure deficiencies
- Develops and supports development of training materials for annual Residential Mentor orientation and ongoing professional development courses
- Provides daily coaching on processes and procedures for all Residential Mentors
- Confers with management and supports development plans and/or corrective action when Residential Mentors are not meeting job requirements/standards
- Mentor students to help support their growth mentally, academically, and socially
- Implement the THRIVE boarding program with fidelity
- Support communication with parents and families
- Set a positive example by being a role model for Residential Mentors and students in the program
- Plan and implement programs and activities to do with students
- Mediate conflicts and promote a positive living environment
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge or background in working with at-risk children and youth
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enthusiasm and patience for working with middle and high school age students
- Willingness to work hard and with fidelity
- Exceptionally organized
ACCOUNTABILITY
This position is accountable to the Director of Residential Life
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- No weekends

Salary : $20 - $25
