Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is an integral part of the Accounting team. You will be responsible for ensuring payment of the company's bills and invoices, tracking and recording of expenses, and resolve any discrepancies or disputes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Enter Accounts Payable (A/P) invoices and process vendor checks.
- Track and record expenses.
- Resolve A/P discrepancies and disputes.
- Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards.
- Provide support to the accounting team and management as needed.
- Periodically may serve as back up to answer incoming calls and redirecting to the appropriate department or employee.
- Process A/P and employee expense activities.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of A/P entries.
- Act as liaison with other departments, customers, and vendors.
- Perform online filing and general administrative tasks.
- Any other job duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
The most successful candidate in the position will meet most, if not all, of the following criteria.
- Candidates must complete typing and attention to detailed tests to be considered for this position
- Minimum of 2 years AP experience.
- Experience in data entry
- Experience with Google Drive/Docs/Sheets and Microsoft Office/Excel Required
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- A fast-paced environment with attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on new challenges as the company grows
Physical Requirements
