A Project Manager is an exceptional leader who drives excellence and change across the manufacturing spectrum. In an atmosphere of rapid growth and innovation, you will play a key role in engineering projects and capital project planning and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions Include:
- This person is responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of one or multiple projects. Daily leadership and management of projects and facility wide scope of work.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members.
- Develop project budget, timelines, schedule of values, monthly billings for contract projects and adherence to project budget through completion and implement cost control measures or change orders as needed.
- Track any project delays using spreadsheets or Microsoft Project.
- Manage project budget to attain maximum profitability with the use of cost codes.
- Routinely evaluate projects to manage operations and problem solve.
- Monitor projects and team members for safety compliance.
- Facilitate project goals by acting as company liaison with general contractor and all subcontractors on an ongoing basis.
- Cultivate positive business relationships vital to the success of the project and communicate effectively and routinely with customers, suppliers, and vendors to accomplish project goals.
- Develop and maintain a viable working relationship with the purchasing department following all purchasing procedures to ensure project equipment and material needs are met.
- Develop and maintain a viable working relationship with the accounting department to provide relevant financial information in a timely and accurate manner for job cost reporting purposes.
Qualifications Include:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred.
- 4 years of Project Management Experience
- Must possess a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- An ability to think ahead, plan and prepare action plans to achieve results.
- An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
- The possession of quality orientation and attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution. In addition to, strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin preferred
Physical Requirements - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:
- May require travel to multiple sites, both nationally and internationally, depending on project
- Consistent and reliable attendance
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity.
- 50% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 40% or more standing.
- The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment.
- Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 40 lbs. is required.
