We’re searching for a licensed entry-level associate who shares our commitment to purpose-based advice and who wishes to progress in the financial planning profession. If you have a heart for service and a passion for helping others, we’d like to connect! Job Description Responsibilities Attend and assist lead financial advisors with client meetings. Proficiently record meeting notes and promptly distribute or complete action items. Prepare and draft recommendations for client financial plans, including gathering or entering data, and running reports using the firm’s financial planning software. Prepare and make recommendations on client investment and insurance needs, including observations and analysis, under the direction of the lead advisors. Act as backup for lead financial advisors on insurance, investments, and financial planning questions. Back up other team members essential duties when needed. Assists clients with opening new accounts, placing trades and additional service items that require appropriate insurance and/or securities licensing. Delegate non-advisory follow-up work to the client service specialist, administrative professional, or home office support, using CRM tasks/activities and workflows. Skills and Qualifications Series 7/66 or Series 7/63/65 licenses, along with state Life and Health insurance licenses, or ability to obtain within the first 90 days of contract. Continuous learning-orientation: Acquire and demonstrate specific knowledge of financial planning, insurance and investment products and services. Personal integrity: Keep client and company confidences, always acting in the client’s best interest. Comply with Federal/State regulations and Thrivent policies. Communication: Maintain a high level of professionalism when communicating with clients and team members, while delivering a remarkable client experience. Technical aptitude: Knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) or ability to learn Accountability: Keeps commitments and takes responsibility for own actions. Productivity: Time management, organization, and multi-tasking. Required: Candidate must be available for regular or hybrid office work in Mendota Heights, MN. Salary & Benefits * W2 income of $45,000-$55,000/year with potential for growth and advancement * Flexible / hybrid work schedule with paid holidays, paid volunteer days, and paid time off As part of Thrivent’s recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the process. Fingerprints will be required as part of FINRA registration process for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records. All persons with securities registrations are subject to Thrivent Investment Management’s Outside Securities Accounts Policy, which requires all outside brokerage accounts to be maintained at one of the firms designated by Thrivent.
