About the Job
Thriveworks, a national mental health organization, is currently seeking a Payer Contracting Manager. This role will be responsible for developing and managing contracting and relations with major payor accounts as well as management of the contracting team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative, growing environment. You will be presented with multiple competing tasks, and no day will be the same. You will be required to bring ideas to the table and execute successfully at a rapid pace.

Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, collaborative relationships and agreements with payors through negotiation of new partnerships as well as re-negotiation of existing partnerships
- Strong focus on contracting, reporting, and operations to optimize performance
- Execute the implementation process of contracts including collaborating with billing and credentialing departments as well as other key stakeholders to ensure contract implementation is optimized.
- Research, develop, negotiate, and implement payor contracting strategies
- Assist in the identification and sourcing of partners for value-based arrangements
- Continuously monitor and understand the competitive environment and trends that affect current and future payor contracting models and reimbursement
- Helps identify and lead process improvements and development as the company continues to scale
Skills & Qualifications
- Must have multi-state or multi-site healthcare payor strategy experience
- Strong provider/payor contract negotiation skills and experience
- High degree of professionalism and the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including clinical team members
- Proficient understanding of credentialing/provider enrollment functions and processes
- Experience working with large sets of data, formula writing, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient and payor information
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
Requirements
- Must have strong business management background
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 3 years in a multi-state payor relations role required
