The Fraud Operations Analyst II is responsible for monitoring illegal transactions on customers' financial accounts without the authorization of the account owner. This job reports any suspicious account movements and unusual transactions that may be risky to the financial institution and customers. Working under general supervision, this job suspends a flagged account temporarily until the investigation is complete, verifying all transaction details and keep all information confidential until further notice. Key Responsibilities and Duties Answers inbound calls from customers calling to report potential fraudulent activity in their accounts. Creates case files for investigations of suspicious activity against customer accounts. Reports any suspicious account movements and unusual transactions that may be risky to key customers. Interacts with external partners such as law enforcement agencies, vendors and banks to validate information to check fraudulent activities. Works with customers to verify account activity. Educational Requirements University (Degree) Preferred Work Experience 2 Years Required; 3 Years Preferred FINRA Registrations SRC Indicator: NRF Physical Requirements Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work Career Level 6IC Desired Skills: 3 years experience in compliance/operations (banking) Excellent communication and writing skills Ability to work in fast paced environment Ability to analyze fraud trends and find resolution Ability to handle multiple tasks Knowledge of fraud detection and prevention techniques Preferred Skills: Fraud prevention or behavior analysis experience Experience using fraud detection systems eg. Lexis Nexis, Actimize, EWS. Certifications such as ACAMS, CFE or other relevant certification Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Finance or Business Administration Related Skills Adaptability, Collaboration, Customer Engagement, Data-Based Decision Making, Detail Oriented, Prioritizes Effectively, Story Telling, Strategic Thinking, TIAA Products/Services Acumen Base Pay Range: $54,900/yr. - $87,600/yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
