Communications Supervisor Position Summary
Supervise all aspects of daily operations of the Console Operators who provide 24 hour/7 day routine and emergency communications for the Medical Center, satellite offices and physicians. The Supervisor will also oversee activities at the Information Desk, providing assistance to our Customers via telephone and direct contact. The Communications Supervisor will maintain the work schedule, time sheets and attendance tracking reports, personnel files, address PTO requests and modify the schedule as required to maintain proper staffing at the Console and Information Desk. The Communications Supervisor will act as liaison to the Medical staff, remote physician offices, employees of the Medical Center and the public when issues and concerns arise regarding the Console Operators, Information desk personnel and the physician on-call schedule as it pertains to the registry system. The Supervisor will be responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the registry system. The Supervisor will also represent the Communications Department and attend all meetings relating to the Emergency Operations Committee. The Communications Supervisor will develop and maintain spreadsheets relating to all public carriers and their associated telecommunications bills for TidalHealth Peninsula, it’s satellite offices and affiliates. This information will be summarized and presented to department heads for review and approval. The Supervisor will also serve as liaison to each of our public carriers and vendors in regards to telecommunications for the Medical Center.
Communications Supervisor Position Requirements
Education
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
Experience
- Must have experience in a Customer Service environment. Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment preferred, but not required.
- Must possess excellent office automation skills.
Communications Supervisor Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8AM. To 4PM.
- Available for after hours and/or weekends as circumstances dictate.
