HR Assistant- Kinston, NC
Tidewater Transit a leader in the Trucking and Transportation industry is hiring an HR assistant to join the team. If you have experience in the trucking or transportation industry that is a plus.
Essential Functions:
-Process weekly payrolls for multiple locations
-Enters and maintains miscellaneous entries in payroll system for direct deposits, garnishments, W-4 changes, 401k loans, completing wage and employment verifications and other miscellaneous task.
-Process Off Cycle adjustment payments as needed.
-Assist with the day-to-day payroll problem resolution.
-Assist HR Director with various administrative duties.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
-Familiarity or experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
-Proficient skill in Microsoft Excel and Word
-Excellent communication skills - interaction with all levels of management
-Ability to manage time effectively
-Excellent verbal & written skills
-Mathematical skills and problem solving skills
-Multi-task
-Organizational & efficiency
-Education and Experience
-At least 3 years accounting and / or payroll experience
