Safety Administrator-Tidewater Transit, Kinston NC:
The Administrative Assistant will assist the Safety Director in operation of the department and will compile and maintain safety and training records. Safety experience in Trucking or Transportation is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile accident and incident files.
- Compile and maintain employee training files.
- Document 800 calls, Drive Safe notifications, and DOT Inspections.
- Maintain OSHA log.
- Maintain Driver Qualification files.
- Manage safety bonus and safety awards program.
- Process driver training pay.
Skills:
- Maintain confidentiality of all Tidewater and employee documentation, processes, and proprietary information.
- Collect and research data.
- Communicate effectively and tactfully with employees and the public.
- Observe safety and security procedures.
- Able to adapt to frequent interruption.
- Is consistently at work and on time.
- Follows instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months related experience or training.
- Computer literate with some experience in MS Office.
