What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Safety Administrator- Simpson NC position at Tidewater- Safety NC?

Safety Administrator-Tidewater Transit, Kinston NC:

The Administrative Assistant will assist the Safety Director in operation of the department and will compile and maintain safety and training records. Safety experience in Trucking or Transportation is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile accident and incident files.
  • Compile and maintain employee training files.
  • Document 800 calls, Drive Safe notifications, and DOT Inspections.
  • Maintain OSHA log.
  • Maintain Driver Qualification files.
  • Manage safety bonus and safety awards program.
  • Process driver training pay.

Skills:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all Tidewater and employee documentation, processes, and proprietary information.
  • Collect and research data.
  • Communicate effectively and tactfully with employees and the public.
  • Observe safety and security procedures.
  • Able to adapt to frequent interruption.
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Follows instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months related experience or training.
  • Computer literate with some experience in MS Office.
