IT Intern

Job Summary

Are you looking for a summer internship? We are currently seeking an IT Intern that is actively pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field!

• This is a 1st shift position
• 20-30 hours per week

The IT Support Intern is a technical operations role where you will be trained to provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals across the enterprise.

Essential responsibilities of the entry level Warehouse Associate are:

• Provide extraordinary customer service in person and remotely via phone, chat, and email as appropriate and ensure prompt, thorough resolution of tickets including detailed logging and tracking of issues in ticketing software
• Troubleshoot and make knowledge-based decisions to resolve typical support requests for laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, smart phones, peripherals and associated software and applications.
• Assist with new device setup and configuration, including imaging.
• Install and configure operating system software and associated applications.
• Perform preventative maintenance including repairs and upgrades on enterprise technology.
• Create and maintain internal IT process documentation.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles for use by associates.
• Frequently rely on skill and judgement to respond to or escalate events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Actively pursuing degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of modern operating systems (Windows 10, Server 2016, Serice 2019, ext.)
• Basic knowledge of hardware deployment including laptops, desktops, and printers
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 program
• Strong computer hardware/software problem solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
