What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Estimator position at TIMA?
Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for the company’s real estate development and construction projects; consult with clients, vendors and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates; prepare estimates to be used in selecting vendors and subcontractors; set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures; analyze blueprints and technical documents to prepare cost, material, and labor estimates for construction projects; assess cost effectiveness of projects and services by comparing actual costs to bids; work with the sales team to prepare bids for clients.
Requirements: Position requires Associate’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Construction Management, Business Management, Business Administration or a closely related field. Position also requires at least 24 months of experience in the job offered.
The required experience must include a minimum of 12 months of experience in a company engaged in providing real estate development or construction services.
