The Project Manager drives the end-to-end delivery of strategic projects that are approved and funded. This includes guiding projects from inception through delivery and support, working in close partnership with IT and business leaders, including project, program, and executive sponsors, all IT groups, as well as other leaders within the business and IT.
Other responsibilities include, creating plans to achieve objectives, tracking progress against objectives and budgets, and driving execution of key projects. Provides overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project oriented work efforts. Assists in existing project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
A project manager is a person who is responsible for making decisions, both large and small. The project manager should make sure they control risk and minimizes uncertainty. Every decision the project manager makes must directly benefit their project.
Impact & Influence:
Project Manager must be adept at multi-tasking, as they are generally required to perform a wide variety of tasks on a daily basis. Project Manager must have a strong understanding of, and ability to execute project management methodologies and tools, lead a team in the successful completion of project related activities, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving / decision making skills.
The Project Manager interacts with multiple stakeholders and team members on both the customer side and TinRoof side. Stakeholders may include: VP, Director, Program Manager, Dev Manager, and various cross functional development team roles). No direct report responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Work with clients, project team, and stakeholders to define scope, roadmap, user stories/requirements, prioritize work, and track progress of delivery. Scrum Master related activities are also included.
Manage communication across the client, project team and stakeholders.
Track project related issues; help with risk mitigation and take ownership through resolution.
Build strong relationships with client, project team, and stakeholders
Skills To Have When Joining Include:
Bachelors Degree
Project Management (PMI) Certification (Preferred)
3-5 years IT work experience
3 years managing projects
Experience managing large, complex projects across multiple functions is preferred
Experience successfully coordinating business and technical resources under an integrated project plan to ensure the alignment of resources
