TinySuperheroes, a social enterprise focused on empowering kids (and their families) as they deal with illness or disability, is looking for an Executive Director. Our ideal candidate is a pro-active, driven, self starter with analytical, deductive problem solving skills that is excited about guiding TinySuperheroes towards its full potential.
We are out to change how the world sees the unique challenges that some kids face, and reveal the superpowers behind every difference. Thus far, we have had the privilege of welcoming over 100,000 kids join our squad yet there is still so much more good we can do. We are looking for someone that can help live this mission with us while also building upon the existing foundation to grow profitably.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Effectively guide and collaborate with the leadership team to manage, maintain, and implement the strategic vision of the company.
- Effectively collaborate with the leadership team on TinySuperheroes’ vision, values, goals and ideas.
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve customer experience and increase revenue.
- Create complete business plans, with challenging goals that will drive the business forward.
- Oversee all operations and activities of the business to ensure they are meeting or exceeding the desired goals and outcomes that are consistent with the overall strategic vision of the company.
- Establish and/or maintain quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead, manage and hold the company accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
- Assist in the integration of all major operating functions of the business. Ensure everyone is working toward the same goals as a cohesive unit. Model the notion of always working toward the greater good of the business.
- Resolve issues effectively - seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out the problems and solving the problems in a practical and healthy manner. Ensure the leadership team is healthy, functional and cohesive.
- Ensure that everyone is truly following and adhering to the company’s core processes and operating system with consistency. Demonstrate effective project management skills.
- Dependably demonstrate a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity and clarity.
- Confirms that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization. Inherently ensure that everyone is in the know. Verify that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the organization.
- Engaging with and maintaining company relationships when necessary.
- Address the biggest issues the company faces to come up with strategic, innovative, and effective solutions.

Education and Experience:
- 5 years experience within a leadership role
- At least 3 years experience within the start-up community is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, project management or related field is preferred
