General Summary:
The role of the Service Manager is to manage and direct all service department activities of a TBC Corporation (TBC) store engaged in selling tires and related automotive parts and mechanical services in the service department. He/she is responsible for coaching, developing, teaching, and training while leading a team of general service technicians and mechanics who exemplify the highest level of quality and customer service. This position ensures compliance to all TBC’s policies and procedures for automotive services and extremely high groeth opportunity into being a store manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meets or exceeds TBC’s performance standards for quality and speed of service to our customers through service operations Meets or exceeds TBC’s customer service excellence index (CSEI)
- Ensures continuous implementation and enforcement of TBC’s policies and procedures
- Develops and directs a skilled and cohesive team of general service technicians and mechanics
- Evaluates performance of general service technicians and mechanics
- Exercises strong, fair, and consistent leadership with all employees
- Delegates authority and subsequent ownership of those functions delegated, as appropriate for the position
- Builds and maintains a team effort consistent with the goals and direction of the company
- Ensures compliance to all OSHA, M.A.P., state and Hazmat regulations
- Adhere to GEARS process o Greet the customer o Establish relationship o Advise on recommendation o Repair vehicle properly o Strengthen the relationship The Service Manager is responsible for the administration of, but not limited to, the following:
- Scheduling the service department personnel to ensure adequate coverage
- Manager bay flow in order to increase service dollars and gross profit
- Ensures that proper diagnostic procedures are followed and that recommendations are correct, properly explained, and correctly priced
- Performs proper handling of warranty and adjustment procedures
- Adheres to procedures for work orders and invoices
